Subject: Suckerberg FOMO’d the AI trade, and you paid for it

My fellow exit-liquidity providers,

The sub lost its collective mind today: semis got obliterated, Korea circuit-broke itself, and one AI CEO had a televised nervous breakdown. Here’s what we’re shorting (or, more likely, bagholding) on Monday.

[META / NVDA / semis]: The sub is fuming that “Suckerberg” panic-bought the entire AI chip supply, now forced to rent out spare compute, tanking the entire sector while Meta somehow got pumped. One top thread called it "manufactured fake fud" and "market manipulation by billionaires" expecting a reversal next week. The crowd is treating this as classic hopium, but at least the memes are A-tier.

[KOSPI]: One thread claims Korea’s index dumped 7.8% as traders found a workaround to the -8% circuit breaker by dumping right up to the close. The supposed catalyst was Meta’s chip-glut news, which the sub calls billionaire-driven manipulation. Meanwhile, Korean banks are expanding trading floors for 24-hour won trading starting July 6 – because 16 hours of pain wasn’t enough.

[PLTR]: CEO Alex Karp had a televised meltdown on live TV, slamming AI model companies as “irresponsibly oversold” with “insane” business models. The sub roasted him as a snake-oil salesman on Adderall, but one commenter noted his point about token revenue incentives might actually be valid. Either way, the memes are A-tier.

[OPENAI]: CNN reports Sam Altman is offering the Trump administration a 5% stake in OpenAI, which the sub calls “bribery in plain sight” and “socialism for corporate welfare.” One commenter translated Altman’s pitch as “incentivize the government to cover our crippling financial downside.” Expect the administration to protect this corporate baby at all costs.

[TSLA]: Tesla delivered 480,126 vehicles in Q2, beating expectations, yet the stock still sank 7% – the sub blames “cooked numbers” and “buy the rumor, sell the news.” A regard who bought puts before the release is now printing, proving that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Don’t expect this to last.

[GOOGL]: The EU’s top court upheld a record $4.7 billion antitrust fine over Android, which the sub says Google will “find in the couch cushions.” One commenter noted the EU’s only economic strategy is fining successful US companies – and he’s not wrong. Google’s stock barely flinched, confirming that $4.7B is indeed loose-change territory.

[JOBS REPORT]: US payrolls rose by only 57,000 in June, missing expectations by about half, with wages growing slower than inflation. The sub’s reaction? “Believe it or not. Calls” – because a weak economy clearly means lever up. Another user called the numbers “cooked,” which is the most trust we can put in government data.

[HOOD]: One degenerate posted a 1,500% gain on HOOD options, earning the sub’s highest compliment: “congrats and fuck you.” The comments are split between envy and confirmation bias fuel. This is definitely the top.

[RKLB]: One user turned $2,900 into $29,000 on Rocket Lab calls, taking profits and planning to buy back in on the next dip. The sub’s response: “Pornographic Images.” A commenter suggests WEN is the next rocket.

[WEN]: A whole thread dedicated to bagholding Wendy’s stock, complete with memes and one user selling 100 7/31 $7 puts for 0.40 – “sweet sweet theta.” The sub is bullish on breakfast and bad decisions. Even if the apocalypse holds off, the frosty machine is always broken.

[NBIS]: One trader made $38,000 on Nebius puts, correctly betting on neocloud carnage from the Meta news. The comments are split between “luck” and “congrats” – the sub’s highest compliment. Profit is profit, even if it’s luck.

[MSFT]: One bagholder with 160 shares at $460 predicts a run to $462 before earnings and a crash to $350. The comments are overwhelmingly bearish, which means Microsoft calls are probably the play of the century. Inverse WSB never fails – until it does.

Fireworks? We already lit our portfolios. Happy Independence Day — hope your account gets liberated from losses. See you Monday with fresh margin calls.
