Subject: Daily Degeneracy Report: Puts Expired, Palantir Soared, and the Tape Only Goes Up
My fellow exit-liquidity providers,
Another Monday, another all-time high, and the market is huge and winning BIGLY while your puts quietly expire worthless. The only thing stronger than the tape is the sub's ability to ignore every ceasefire that isn't a ceasefire and to expect a PLTR beat to drop 20% by close.
[PLTR]: Palantir posts blowout Q2 numbers with U.S. commercial revenue soaring nearly 150%, lifts its annual forecast, and Karp calls business sales otherworldly — enough to make the sub respond Bears r fuk. One commenter worries Burry might actually be regarded, while another is already celebrating PLTR to 4,000 P/E. If you held PLTR puts, the culture says do not check the market right now.
[SPY/0DTE]: One thread claims SPY ripped from $727 to $757 in a few trading days, with the top explanation being Mag 7 is ripping. The 0DTE game is eating itself: one user lost $107k in 15 minutes doing SPX 0DTE, another turned $2k into $50k on a 756 strike, and the rest of us are just clicking buttons and praying.
[SPCX]: The pinned earnings thread is treating SpaceX's first baby earnings as a binary event: one degenerate says SPCX is going to post some of the most dog shit earnings, so obviously calls are the way. Another refuses to short before Thursday's big unlock because Elon dickriders can irrationally pump the stock even on bad news, betting it pumps to allow the dumping of those new shares on retail. Everyone else is just praying it doesn't do the 20% up or 20% down thing.
[SNDK]: SanDisk is front and center for Wednesday, which per the thread means either we make a ton of money or lose like 20%, no in between, with IV at a million percent. One brave soul's plan is simply SNDK to da mun.
[MU/AMD/SEMIS]: The semi basket is still a support group: one user is full port into DRAM downfall, another bought the MU dip and it keeps dipping, and MU is being told to rest well tonight because tomorrow is its turn. AMD, meanwhile, is about to announce "9 gorillion dollars" and partner with Jesus Christ himself, according to the only analyst who matters. The daily thread's verdict: semis are called semis because their prices are down by half everyday.
[MSFT]: One full-port degenerate who went all-in after the drop to $350 is flexing a 25% upside swing in the last three trading days, and another poster banked a 20k gain. After all the WSB hate, one commenter suspected everyone was silently bullish on MSFT. Now the thread is mostly congratulations and German taxman commentary.
[CAKE]: The Cheesecake Factory thesis is built on one guy seeing people dressed up for $20 pasta and concluding consumers are squeezed but still need a social outing. Somehow this justified a $200,000 position because of a tie; one commenter claims the stock has already run 25% since last week and another warns it is now the stock of the moment. The pop has pushed the founder's fortune above $300 million, per Forbes.
[SOFI]: The latest YOLO DD insists the market doesn't understand SoFi, because CEO Noto keeps buying, growth and financials look good, and the stock still head-fakes enough to make retail think it's trash. The top comment's rebuttal is simply You don’t seem to understand it either, while another veteran notes SoFi will flux between $15 and $18 for the rest of time. News reports say SoFi surged Monday after earnings, so maybe the market finally read the DD.
[GRND]: A 959-score DD makes the case that Grindr is the best setup in the market because users spend 67 minutes a day on the app, management never misses guidance, and the 'Woodworking' ED-pill vertical feeds both a $29 Morgan Stanley target and the OP's $69 DCF fantasy. The thread responds with Dude’s got a PhD in gays and I’m not Gay enough to read all that. It's already up 50% in less than 2 months, per one commenter, which is exactly how WSB discovers a short squeeze.
[OIL/IRAN WAR]: Brent opened more than 8% lower after another 'pause' in the Iran war, and the thread's top response is a tired Rinse and repeat. One commenter insists there is no deal — Iran's red line is control of Hormuz and the markets are reacting to T dog — so enjoy the oil dip while it lasts. The jingling keys worked again, at least for today.
[KOSPI/JOMO]: The KOSPI's 30% crash has been reframed as a happiness pump, with the headline celebrating JOMO trumps FOMO. One office worker who avoided the pain by investing only in U.S. stocks is called out as a sweet summer child, because nothing says safe haven like a market that just ripped $30 in a few days.
That's the tape: record highs, phantom peace deals, and enough 0DTE carnage to keep the Wendy's application process busy. Hindsight Capital's models are now just a calendar that tells us what we should have bought yesterday.
Stay solvent (somehow),
